BASED ON THE WORKS OF PHOEBE GILMAN

JILLIAN JIGGS AND THE PIRATES

Adapted and written for the stage by JOEL KAISER  with permission from Scholastic Canada

Directed by Joel Kaiser

Jillian Jiggs and her friends find themselves with an afternoon of nothing to do. So they begin to imagine they're sailing the seven seas as they dream up all sorts of adventures. In GRANDMA AND THE PIRATES, Jillian has to save Grandma and her pet parrot, Oliver, from a gang of rough and tough pirates. She becomes "Melissa" and travels to the mysterious island of Boola Boola. After saving the day, Jillian imagines the adventures of PRECIOUS PEARL, a swashbuckling pirate girl, who gives away treasure as fast as she can steal it. She meets Prince Basil and, sooner than you can say "shiver me timbers", she sets out on an incredible voyage to discover the biggest treasure of them all! These exciting stories by Phoebe Gilman, explore the wonders of a child’s imagination and teach us lessons of teamwork and friendship.
